In general, Salvation Army Thrift store will accept gently used: The Salvation Army and the LGBT CommunityĪ: These vary from location to location, so please visit The Salvation Army Donation Center in your area for their policies.Everything I mentioned is not difficult to fix, but what I saw is a 1 star escape room business. Just the vibe I got.Īll in all this escape room is OK. We pointed out the malfunctions, I bet the worst one does get fixed but not the other 2. It never worked correctly and game master was pretty much unresponsive. ![]() There were 3 significant malfunctions, 1 of which slowed my team down for 15-20 minutes at the beginning of the room. The worst lapses I observed were in the lobby area, not the escape rooms or the hallway. Time to refresh the company covid protocols and follow the COVID prevention program CA DIR requires (google it, I bet you're out of compliance. Lobby staff with nose out, 20 kids in the lobby, half unmasked, doors shut - just a bad look. Just do it! No body thinks an air purifier is a good idea? Get one! Just do it! I recommend Levoit and Coway Airmega. Most days it's nice enough to prop that door open and point a fan outward. There are simple steps that are being ignored. Workers also need better training and protection from exposure. I'm sure I'm not infected with COVID, it's just hard not to see this simple stuff if you know what to look around for. I'm not trying to spread long COVID to a child or kill grandma. Here's the thing, this might sound like a customer being a pain, but this is a serious safety issue. so of course like everywhere it's more of saying "we're gonna do 6 feet" and then not doing it. There was no distancing let alone 6 foot, and mixed masking in the lobby. some kids had masks fully off, and when a crowd is too large there's no way staff can ask for masks to stay on. The crowds in the lobby when we arrived were unreasonable. The game master had her mask on the whole time, thank you to her for wearing a mask. I work in-person with a mask on all day, I do get that it can be challenging, but it's a safety measure. On that matter the lobby staff had her nose out the whole time. There's good space out front to set up a display for photos. The virus doesn't care that guests are taking a photo. Masks also keep the contaminants out of the air so please don't have people take the photo in the lobby unmasked. (open front door to lobby weather permitting), ventilation (fans pointed out the door), air filtration (HEPA air purifiers). The virus is spread through the air in respiratory aerosols, so fresh air in critical. It's good for Escape Room employees to wash their hands, but they are not preparing food and handwashing is not a workplace hazard control that addresses airborne infection risk. This business doesn't follow CDC guidance although a sign is posted that says "all employees are trained in CDC safety guidelines" next to a handwashing symbol. Tip: The Escape Room would be a good activity for some team building!!! ![]() What more can I say? And after we did our escape, they were willing to answer questions! Great job staff!!! ![]() The staff 5 stars: very nice, very helpful, and had smiles on their faces. I think this would also be good for a party or for out of towner visitors!!! I love the concept of no phones inside! This game is good for ages 7 and up as long as the young ones are with parents. If you're up for a challenge choose this game. They are things we would use in real life, no fake props. The set up is awesome and so are the props. It really requires brain power and communication. Don't know how the other rooms are since this was my first time. The Game - 5 stars: The game we chose was "Cash Me if You Can" the room was tiny but enough for seven people. There's a restrooms available downstairs and one upstairs in the vicinity of the Escape Room. The downstairs portion looks like "it's community" meaning not necessarily for the Red Door Escape Room but you can use it. The Red Door is actually on the second floor. The facility - 4 stars: If you haven't been there, it was confusing to know and see where the entrance was. But now I did and I can talk about it! Hahaha. I've never been to a "Escape Room" and heard people talk about it and post about it. ![]() So guys this is my first ever Yelp review of 2020.
